Bought these Ghost 16 strictly because I was sitting in a boring lecture one day and went shopping in Amazon to stay awake… but am extremely pleased with these shoes. I own 2 pair of Ghost 15 and one of the Adrenaline 22 GTS. (And just this week bought a pair of the Glycerin 21) Of all of my Brooks purchases the Ghost 16 are the best. A little springier than the 15s, but just as comfortable. I am not a runner; I stand on my feet all day and the only running I do is run up and down the stairs periodically but no track or anything. After decades of achy feet at the end of every work day I just assumed that was the way it was supposed to be. Bought the Ghost 15s a year ago because all the reviews I ran across said they were the best. All the reviews were right! These things are great!
For my size 11 feet the Ghost 15s are perfect, not as supportive as the Adrenaline 22 GTS so for me much more comfortable, not a cushiony as the Glycerin 21 but more than cushiony enough. Then I bought a pair of the Ghost 16. These are MORE perfecter than the 15s. And they look snazzy too,

I was in search of a good, lightweight walking shoe and my research came up with the Brooks Ghost 16. They popped up multiple times in recommendations. My intent for the shoes is for a a European trip we’re making this summer. We’ll be doing a great deal of city walking in Barcelona as well as some hiking (Montserrat & Cinque Terre). I ordered the shoe in my normal size, 10 w/ a normal width. After receiving the shoes I slipped them on for my normal evening 2 mile walk. My toes were crammed in the tip and I contemplated just keeping them hoping they would ‘stretch’ after wearing them. Instead, common sense prevailed and I returned them. As soon as my refund was returned I ordered a 10 1/2. Rec’d them and they fit like a glove (almost). This was my first pair of “Brooks” so I wasn’t familiar with size variations. I’ve never had a shoe or boot in a 10 1/2 in the past. So, recommendation #1, if you’re considering purchasing these, order them in a 1/2 size larger than you normally wear. The other issue is that the description boasts a “high arch”, which I have. These are not ‘high arches’, just normal. I ordered a set of “Walk Hero” inserts and inserted them in the shoes and now they fit 100% Great. I could have downgraded my rating to 4-stars but I kept it at 5. These are a great, lightweight, super comfortable walking shoe. I especially love this color (coconut). I recommend these just be wary of the small size as advertised.

It seems a little firmer around the heel than Ghost 15, but otherwise, about the same. Wasn’t crazy about colors, but changed out TOO SHORT laces (no, I don’t have a wide foot) for longer 54″ Lake Blue ones and I’m in business. They’re a little long, but I lace shoe in way that it shortens them some. Comfort supreme!

These shoes although a higher price point are WELL worth the money, they are strong, durable, have arch support unlike any other brand, comfortable like no other shoe and above all very breathable. Most other shoes tend to get hot when walking or exercising but not the ghosts, for some reason the more you move the cooler they get. If you walk forward you can feel the air flowing into the shoe, it sounds like a small thing, but this is HUGE, as like no other shoe does this so well. I’ve tried Nikes, Adidas, Jordans, Onclouds and even HeyDudes but the Ghosts beat all of them.

These are amazing shoes. They are light, fit true to size (per professional fitting). Walking and jogging is a breeze and you don’t realize you have them on.
